Sentral San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

We stayed here for a week and were very impressed! Especially by the customer service. The front desk and valet staff are all exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. It's rare to get customer service at this level these days. They were able to upgrade our room to a higher floor with a balcony, which was lovely. The hotel itself is in a perfect location for walking around the city. The Gaslamp District, Little Italy, and the waterfront are all very close by. There are also multiple close grocery stores. The floors and tub could have been a little bit cleaner, but the linens and towels were all clean and fresh. It is a bit loud at night, but just normal city noises. I recommend ear plugs for sleeping if you aren't used to the sound of cars and such. We would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was great, and I especially loved having a full kitchen and a washer, which made the stay much more convenient. The kitchen even came with utensils, so I didn’t have to worry about bringing anything from home. The noise level inside the room was surprisingly good—the walls felt thick and I barely heard anything from other rooms. Since I stayed on a weekday, I can’t fully comment on downtown noise, but it was pretty quiet outside as well. The location was very convenient, with everything within walking distance, so I didn’t have to worry about using my car. Parking wasn’t ideal since we had to park about two blocks away from the hotel, but it’s understandable given the downtown area. I do wish they offered self-parking instead of only valet. Customer service was great—staff greeted us every time we left and returned, which made the stay feel very welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

Just checked in and was blown away at my first impression. First time here and wasn’t sure what to expect. Location is fabulous close to shops restaurants bars and an easy stroll to Petco. Rooms and amenities rival 5 star properties. Extremely comfortable and well appointed rooms. As clean as clean can get. Staff greeting was the best surprise. Warmly and graciously welcomed by RAYMEN E. who took the time to introduce us to HIS property and explained the surrounding area and attractions. Again a 5 star quality hotel front of house service. Haven’t been here an hour and already know this is where I’ll stay when visiting SD.

This is a pretty cool place. It has all the home amenities you need. It has dishes, mini stove top, sink, mini washer and dryer, and fridge. Would highly recommended if your staying out here for a few days. I would just keep in mind that it is valet only, but there is parking for $10 just a few blocks down the street! Overall, the stay was great and the staff was super friendly. Paul at the front desk was very welcoming and showed excellent hospitality.

This beautiful hotel was the highlight of our visit! My husband and I came for a conference at the convention center, which was a short and easy walk from the hotel. We loved that Sentral was located within walking distance from everything, but at the same time it was tucked away from the main strip of noisy bars, etc., so it felt like a perfect home base. There's also a grocery store on the same block, so that's convenient. Speaking of convenient, there's a full fridge, microwave, washer-dryer machine, and stovetop in the room! The room was spotless, modern, and I loved the big bright windows. The lobby was inviting, with coffee, and the friendliest staff. These gentlemen at the front desk were always happy and helpful, and made us feel at home! Overall, we highly recommend! Whether you're visiting for business or vacation, this is a perfect hotel that felt like luxury, for an affordable rate. If we come back to San Diego, we won't hesitate to book here again!

This is the cost time that I am starting staying in this hotel. I was quite surprised when I was greeted with mia and billy was standing there as well.They were very kind to us upgraded our room.Explained everything about the hotel, which is very, very cute.These rooms have everything you would need in them.It's got a washer dryer.It has an iron steamer.It has a dishwasher.It's like a fully equipped kitchen, and if you get a room with a balcony, it's got a great little view, you can see petco park. Rooms are clean as is the hotel. Valet out front very nice. Centrally located on the corner of Island and 10th. A few blocks away from 5th, where all of the restaurants are and night life in Gas Lamp Quarter.

I am currently staying at Sentral Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with my choice. As a European visiting the U.S. — and San Diego — for the first time, I didn’t quite know what to expect, but this place has exceeded every expectation I had. The hotel feels brand new: everything is spotless, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The room is more like a beautifully designed apartment than a traditional hotel room — fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer, and absolutely everything you might need during your stay. For me, having laundry in the unit was such a luxury! The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are also high quality, which is a detail I truly appreciate. What I especially love is the European-style approach to service — they don’t disturb you unless you request cleaning or assistance. That level of privacy makes it feel even more comfortable and relaxed, almost like home. The location in the Gaslamp Quarter is perfect — close to fantastic restaurants, bars, shops, and very convenient public transportation (which I use a lot as a European!). You can easily explore the city from here. Before coming here, I stayed two nights at the Manchester Grand Hyatt for a conference, and while that was nice, this is personally so much better for me. It feels more like a stylish Airbnb experience but with the comfort and standards of a top hotel. This is genuinely the best hotel I have ever booked for myself. It is beyond my expectations, and I would absolutely stay here again. Highly, highly recommended!

Sentral is bar none, one of the coolest and most chill hotels in San Diego. Originally intended as an apartment complex turned hotel, Sentral offers a true home away from home. My partner and I stayed here during our move into San Diego proper and upon entering Sentral, the staff and team make you feel right at home. Heather, the hospitality manager, was so kind, accommodating, and served us with some great tips for the area. Moving through the complex, which includes a 24 hour gym and an amazing rooftop, we entered into a room that actually feels more like an apartment than your typical hotel stay - which was such a welcome surprise for us both. The rooms feature a built-in washer / dryer unit, full fridge, and an impressive array of accessories and utensils to make a stay here truly you're not missing home too much. The amount of square footage in the room was an elegant surprise with a hallway that allows for privacy. The beds were some of the most comfortable I've slept on in a while. An all around 15/10 experience - can't wait to come back again. Would
